Parents and Scouts, we will have our Pack Meeting this Tuesday, November 25th, at 7 pm in the United Methodist Church basement. We absolutely MUST reconcile all popcorn sales at this time. We have to write a check to the Weaver Popcorn Company for the product we delivered, and the only way we can do that is if you are there on Tuesday night. If we don't turn our money in on time, then a large bonus which we would otherwise qualify for will be denied, and I don't want that to happen. Please call or email me if you are experiencing any problems with your popcorn sale.
We will be awarding advancements to scouts while the popcorn reconciliation is going on. From the scouts' perspectives, the most important thing we will do that night is give them their pinewood derby car kits.
I want to take a moment to recognize Clay Blankenbaker, the new leader for the Tiger Cubs, Julie Russell and Anna Anderson, assistant leaders for the Tiger Cubs, and Melissa Rushing, assistant leader for the Wolf scouts. With their help, our Pack will continue to grow.
We've had a great start to our year in scouting, thanks to you! I look forward to seeing you all there.

Wolf Cubs Earning Their Fishing Beltloops
Earlier this fall, Matt Alsip took his Wolf scouts fishing to earn their fishing beltloops. CJ Smith and Hunter Parker each caught the largest fish in the fishing competition, 10" large mouth bass. Riley Alsip caught a 9" bluegill. All the kids had a great time!

Popcorn Pick Up...
This morning, cub scout Riley Alsip, his Dad, Matt, and I picked up the popcorn order for our Pack. Leaders should come by today or tomorrow to pick up popcorn for their den. The Tiger den can pick up the popcorn directly from my house. Here are pictures from this morning:
We have until our Pack meeting, November 25th, to deliver popcorn and get payment for orders. All orders must be paid by either cash or check. If a person pays with a check, the person should make the check out to Pack 101.
At our Pack meeting, our accountant will reconcile all scouts' orders. Also, at the Pack meeting, all scouts will receive their PINEWOOD DERBY car kits for our upcoming PINEWOOD DERBY!!! So, please attend the Pack Meeting, even if you did not sell any popcorn this time around.
How you will you carve your car?

Election Night
For the Tiger Cubs, we used election night as our Go See It for the month. They got to see first hand what it means to vote. I have a feeling that they were a little underwhelmed, but this will be one of those experiences they will remember later, and be glad they were there.
As a reminder to all scouts and parents:
Popcorn orders will be in on Saturday, November 8th. Anytime after 11:00 am or so, leaders will come by my house and pick up their popcorn for their dens. When scouts deliver their orders, they can take cash or checks. Checks need to be made to Cub Scout Pack 101.
Parents, if you have any questions, please email me or call me.
Roger

Popcorn is IN!!!
This Saturday, November 8th, the popcorn order will be at my house. Tiger Cubs, you should plan on picking up your order from my house (113 Lindsey Avenue) anytime after 11:00 am on Saturday.
Other dens, you will need to get your popcorn from your leaders. I encourage you to get your popcorn right away, so you can get your orders delivered, and will be ready to reconcile your order with our Pack accountant at our Pack meeting at the end of November.
If any parent wants to volunteer a truck to drive and help us load popcorn, please email me at pugh@shawneelink.net and I'll give you the particulars.
Thanks,
Roger
